A Leader to Turn the Country Around
I believe I am the leader the country needs to turn the country around. America wants a fiscal conservative who practices fiscal conservatism in every day life and not just preach it while spending lavishly. America wants a leader who listens to the people and not to a party. (I am an independent and not tied to any ideology.)
AhmnodtCare vs. ObamaCare
ObamaCare includes provisions like mandated health insurance and panels. AhmnodtCare involves prevention, including planting many apple trees. AhmnodtCare would also find why health care is so expensive and find ways to quit making hospitals having so many bills. I would start by quit having hospitals advertise. If I am having a heart attack, I want to go to the nearest hospital, not to the hospital with the most commercials (unless it’s the closest hospital.)
Health Care Costs
It wasn’t really part of the debate question, but I felt compelled to chime in. (Debaters tend to answer questions other than those asked.) We need to find out why health care is so expensive before spending government money on it. Hospitals are already getting money from room bills, medicine bills, parking fees, hospital cafeterias, gift shops, etc. With all the money hospitals collect, one would think patients would get better food in hospitals.
Foreign Aid
Our foreign policy makes no sense when it comes to foreign aid. We give money ti Israel and the Palestinians so they can bomb each other. I would quit sending foreign aid until they learn to get along. At the very least, they would no longer have money for bombs.
Border Fence
I do not understand why it costs so much to build a fence along the border with the US and Mexico. Government shoppers should learn about bargains at Home Depot and Lowe’s.
Education
The Department of Education will not be needed to implement my education program. Keep education limited to the tools children will need to live productive lives as adults.
Who On Stage Would Be My Vice President?
It is hard to pick a vice president. I have tried in the past and ran into problems (age, arrest records, country of origin, etc.) Out of those on stage debating, I would choose Michele Bachmann. I would choose her because a president can never be too careful. Sometimes a president makes decisions that are unpopular. Michele Bachmann would be my candidate because there would be times when I would need assassination insurance. She is best suited to be my vice-president for that reason.
