Problems Abroad
Ahmnodt Heare is currently campaigning in Paris. He sent me a text message saying that his laptop is fried because the voltage converter he used for using his laptop in Europe is broken. He can’t post blog entries or on Facebook because he doesn’t have a smartphone. He says his phone is really rather dumb.
Ahmnodt was a bit lost when he first arrived in Paris. The name of the new President of France, Francois Hollande, threw him off and he thought he was in the Netherlands. Soon, he realized that more people were speaking French than during his last visit to Amsterdam. He thought the “e” in “Hollande” was just a result of poor European spelling.
I called him at his hotel this morning. He said that he was able to draw large crowds, but that there were some problems with translation. People were baffled about the “Cinemafia” because there is no French equivalent. He thinks they interpreted the word as “SinnerMafia”, which threw them off.
People also thought he was running for the President of France. They had their election last month and Hollande beat former President Nicolas Sarkozy. They were perplexed as to why an American candidate would campaign in Paris. He explained that he was running for President of the Free World and was encouraging the French to write Hillary Clinton and demand that they be allowed to vote for Leader of the Free World. They seemed to like that idea but didn’t seem willing to vote for an American as Leader of the Free World.
One Parisian walked up to him and said that they would consider voting for him as leader of the Free World if he had New York Red Bulls soccer player Theirry Henry as a running mate. He said he already had a running mate (Thank you for remembering me, Ahmnodt) but there was an opening in the cabinet for Department of Health and Human Services now that Jack Kevorkian was deceased.
He will be spending the rest of the night in Paris before heading to Berlin tomorrow. He said that he will now remember that Angela Merkel’s name is not “Andrea”. It cost him in German popularity the last time.
Following the Leader
NOTE: This entry was written by Albee Thayer. Ahmnodt will resume tomorrow.
Ahmnodt Heare asked me to write something today while he observes Vanna White Day (whatever that is.) I will discuss some of the things I have learned from Ahmnodt since he named me to be his running mate.
- Campaigning in cemeteries – I still have a lot of learning to do. I don’t know how Ahmnodt is able to know he is getting results, but I can’t tell. I talk to them, but I can’t tell if what I am saying is getting through.
- Campaigning abroad – Not only have I been campaigning for the Heare and Thayer ticket, but when I am in Mexico, I have been campaigning with Independent candidate for President Noes Toiaqui.
- Adding to the platform. Ahmnodt asked me if there was anything I wanted to add. I didn’t have an answer then, but I have been working on it. It will be on voting reform and I hope to present it next week.
I watched the few Republican debates, but it’s been like getting root canal done by an auto mechanic. I haven’t watched lately but I heard I am better off for that. I am preparing to debate Joe Biden and whoever will be the vice-president candidates for the Republican Party and Vermin Supreme.
The campaign trail awaits me. I’ll be out there. Albee Thayer for America. Albee Thayer for You.
A Word From the Running Mate
My Fellow Americans,
My name is Albee Thayer. I am honored to have been tapped by Ahmnodt Heare to be his running mate. (By “tapped” I mean “chosen” not “tapped like a stick to a maple tree for syrup. I haven’t had the time to introduce myself because I have been busy on my ranch and campaigning here in the Abilene, TX area.
I was born in New York City on November 7, 1958 and grew up in the suburbs. My father was a junior vice-president at a Wall Street firm and my mother was a history teacher. They instilled a tough work ethic in me. I graduated high school a year early and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Abilene Christian University in only three years. I later earned my MBA degree in Executive Management at the University of Texas.
I run a 80-acre ranch in the outskirts of Abilene with hundreds of steer and antelope roaming the ranch. I shared the ranch with my wife Beatrice and our son Tyler until they were killed by a drunk driver in 1998. I never remarried as I kept busy growing the ranch and trying other business ventures.
A Republican by trade, I became disenfranchised with the party and left in 2002 when they continued the spending the Democrats started. After taking a look at other parties and even trying to start my own party (If you ever heard of the “Checkbook Party” about 10 years ago, that was the party I started.
I am proud to say that I voted for Ahmnodt Heare in 2008. He doesn’t know this yet, but I wrote my name in for vice-president because i thought holding both offices is too much for anybody, even Ahmnodt. My interest in him and his campaign started with his fight against the Cinemafia. I have had a similar fight with the sports mafia. I would sometimes make the drive to the Dallas – Fort Worth area to see the Cowboys and the Stars. I became outraged by the ever-increasing prices to see the game as well as food and beer (which is way more expensive than at a bar or church and is watered down.) At least the Cinemafia doesn’t charge for parking. It was $20 the last time I went to Texas Stadium in 2007.
Ahmnodt will be back tomorrow. He is currently traveling through New Hampshire campaigning in small towns near the border with Canada. He will be back tomorrow with updates from the trail. If you have any questions about me, feel free to ask them in the comments section below.
Sincerely,
Albee Thayer
Independent Write-In Candidate for Vice President
