NFL Week 4 Predictions
Last Week: 11-5 Season: 29-18 (.617)
Best Bets: 2-1 Season 5-4 (.556)
I am getting pretty good at this. However, it is a long season and a lot of football left to be played. This could be bad news for Tampa bay Buckaneers fans because it seems possible they might not win a game this year.
NOTE TO THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS: I was born and raised in Washington DC. Although I am living in New Jersey, I am still a die-hard Redskins fan. I have never been as ashamed to be a Redskins fan as I was on Sunday after the Detroit Lions won their first game since 2007. We play Tampa Bay this Sunday. Tampa Bay is as bad this year as Detroit was last year. DON’T MAKE ME ASHAMED AGAIN!!! GO REDSKINS!!!

An Open Letter to Brandon Marshall
NOTE: I am not a Denver Broncos fan, but while I am vacationing in Saguache County, CO, I figured writing a letter to Brandon Marshall is the least I can do considering that the fine people here went out of their way and wrote my name on their ballots when they could have voted for Barack Obama, John McCain, or Terrell Davis.
September 1, 2009
Dear Brandon Marshall or Current Resident,
It is my understanding that you are demanding a trade because you are unhappy playing for the Denver Broncos. While I do not know why you are not happy and your reasons can very well be valid, I would suggest you try your hardest to work through the situation.
I watched the game between the Broncos and the Chicago Bears on Sunday night. The second half featured players who will mostly become house painters and carpenters next month. They may understand the team concept, but they don’t have enough talent to be an NFL star. You have the talent, but unless you understand teamwork, you will end up being a house painter or a carpenter. You need talent and teamworkship (is that a word?) to make it in the NFL.
Ben Roethlisberger is a great quarterback, but he needed teammates and his teammates needed him in order to win the Super Bowl. Nobody can win by himself. This is why every one of the Detroit Lions’ opponents suited up the entire team to play against them.
If you play hard and practice hard as well as being a good teammate, you will get a well-deserved contract as a free agent when your contract expires. However, if you keep acting the way you are acting, you’ll soon be working in a different line of work making significantly less money. These are the facts of life (only without Tootie.)
I wish you the best of luck.
Sincerely,
Ahmnodt Heare
Independent Candidate for President
P.S. I would be honored to have your endorsement for President.
2009 Predictions
What are your predictions for 2009? I predict the following:
1)Ahmnodt Heare will be a household name in 2009. The campaign is starting to steamroll and I am averaging almost 100 hits a day on my blog.
2)Barack Obama will resign from the Presidency so he can join a singing group similar to “Boys to Men.”
3)Perez Hilton will be named “Fashion Czar” and the government will tell us how to dress.
4)The Detroit Lions will win a game. Maybe 2.
5)Part of a bi-partisan health care bill will include a provision for people to sell organs to help pay for medical bills.
An Idea for the NFL
Every year following the Conference Championship Games, there is a two-week lull before the Super Bowl. I propose a game be played the Sunday between the games.
This game would be called the “Toilet Bowl.” The worst team in the AFC would play the worst team in the NFC. Whoever wins the game gets the first pick in the upcoming draft. This will prevent teams from tanking it for getting the first pick and maintain integrity in the game.
A Day to Give Thanks
I would like to thank the Detroit Lions for their pledge to give $1000 for every win they have had so far this season. They said they can’t continue the pledge for the rest of the season, but offered to give the campaign $1,000,000 if they win Super Bowl XLIII.
I would also like to thank everybody who has been following my campaign. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Attention Lions, Cowboys, and Eagles fans!
If you are going to any of the games tomorrow, please bring a sign like Mr. Moran is holding. Try to get it so people can see it on TV.
I thank you very much. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy the games.
