My Solution to the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court Decision

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of Hobby Lobby in stating that Hobby Lobby did not have to provide coverage for contraception to their employees because they objected on religious grounds.  What needs to be done now is not bickering over whether the decision was the correct decision or not.  People who cannot afford contraception still need contraception.  My solution is to have a fundraiser and raise money so these people can have access to contraception.

It is important to make sure these people get contraception for two reasons: 1)If they cannot afford contraception, then they cannot afford raising a baby.  The more people needing help raising a baby, the greater the financial strain it will be for all Americans.  2)If they can’t figure out a way to get a few bucks for condoms or a few more bucks for the pill, then they’re probably not smart enough to figure out to hold their sexual urges as much as possible until things get better financially.

If there is enough positive response to this idea, I will set up a donation page sometime after the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Tax Return Release

I never realized just how successful I was last year.  And one of the consequences of success is paying more taxes.  I only made $15,000 two years ago.  It was $72,500 last year.  While it is good that I made more money, I had become so accustomed to paying in the 10% bracket.  I had set aside $7,250 for taxes.  My tax burden was $14,313.  I am unhappy having to cough up an additional $7,063 by April 15.  While my tax rate is 100% for all Americans, there is a provision where people would get refunds every Friday.

Income: $72,500

Taxes Withheld: $7,250

Taxes: $14,313

Deductions: $1,000

Money due to IRS: $6,063

Donations made in 2009:

  • Habitat for Hotties:  $5,000
  • Americans for Self-Stimulation (ASS): $1,000
  • Other Noteworthy Charities (Save the Children, Unicef, ASPCA, etc.) – $5

Why I Haven’t Blogged About Haiti

The earthquake was devastating.  It is estimated that 50,000 people died as a result of the earthquake.  The reason why I haven’t blogged about is simple:  Nothing I can say can bring them back.  There is nothing I am about to write that hasn’t been written.  I don’t have a charity to donate to  that you haven’t heard of.  If I did, you’d be hesitant to donate to an organization you haven’t heard of as would I.

I am not one to ask people to donate.  People tend to know to donate after a disaster.  Some people can’t donate because their finances are too tight.  I don’t want to remind those who can’t donate to donate.

People around the world are heading to Haiti trying to help the survivors.  my thoughts and prayers are with everybody in Haiti and their families.

WALNUT and ACORN

ACORN continues to find itself in trouble.  I first mentioned last year about WALNUT (We Americans Lending Naturally Underused Talents).  While ACORN is losing money because people are wising up their shenanigans and not donating to them, people are not donating to WALNUT because WALNUT is often confused with ACORN.

WALNUT does not take government money because of all the paperwork involved.   They are run solely by donor contributions.  However; because WALNUT does not like government involvement with its business, donations are NOT tax-deductible.

Please help the poor and donate to WALNUT today!  If you cannot donate today and are currently struggling to make ends meet, you can leave WALNUT as a sole beneficiary.  Not only will you not have to worry about harassing telemarketing calls for donations because you have donated before, but people will say nice things about you posthumously because you left a generous donation in your will.

Answering Questions About the Campaign

I occasionally get questions from people about my platform and my candidacy.  I would like to take this time to answer some of the questions.

You talk about your mother and sometimes your grandmother.  Why haven’t you mentioned your father?

My father doesn’t want the publicity.  He just wants to kick back and relax.  If I didn’t know my father, I would say he’s one of those quiet guys who goes berserk in malls.

Your biography says you were born in Washington, DC, but you had a blog entry that said you were born in Canada.  Which is the truth?

Both are true.  The actual birth happened in a car trying to go from Detroit to Buffalo.  I was brought to a hospital in Buffalo.  My first place of residence was in Washington, DC.

You talk about the Cinemafia and the Motion Picture Association of America.  I haven’t heard you mention anything about the atrocities with professional sports and rock concerts.

First, I would like to mention that the statement above was not a question.  I haven’t gone after professional sports and rock concerts yet because I don’t want to spread myself too thin.

Why haven’t you hired Gryphon as your speechwriter?

I haven’t hired Gryphon because I can’t pay him.  Unlike other candidates, I do not have a “donate” button on my website.  I am running a penniless campaign because I can’t be bought.  While my policy will make it almost impossible to buy television ad time, I won’t have to worry about allegations that the Cinemafia is paying me to lower the price of going to a movie.

Public Financing

People shouldn’t fund campaigns for people who want to run for president. If they can’t afford it, they shouldn’t get a handout from the government. I won’t ask for private donations because people shouldn’t pay for politicians (especially those who will not get elected.)
