What Bloggers Think

I am honored to be invited to join a group of bloggers who chat with other bloggers called “WordPress Chums.”  Here, bloggers can interact with other bloggers about anything, not just about blogging or what is being blogged.  There is also an RSS Feed to this blog, Dummies of the Year, Doc’s Spot, and Kennedy’s Run.

Answering Questions About the Campaign

I occasionally get questions from people about my platform and my candidacy.  I would like to take this time to answer some of the questions.

You talk about your mother and sometimes your grandmother.  Why haven’t you mentioned your father?

My father doesn’t want the publicity.  He just wants to kick back and relax.  If I didn’t know my father, I would say he’s one of those quiet guys who goes berserk in malls.

Your biography says you were born in Washington, DC, but you had a blog entry that said you were born in Canada.  Which is the truth?

Both are true.  The actual birth happened in a car trying to go from Detroit to Buffalo.  I was brought to a hospital in Buffalo.  My first place of residence was in Washington, DC.

You talk about the Cinemafia and the Motion Picture Association of America.  I haven’t heard you mention anything about the atrocities with professional sports and rock concerts.

First, I would like to mention that the statement above was not a question.  I haven’t gone after professional sports and rock concerts yet because I don’t want to spread myself too thin.

Why haven’t you hired Gryphon as your speechwriter?

I haven’t hired Gryphon because I can’t pay him.  Unlike other candidates, I do not have a “donate” button on my website.  I am running a penniless campaign because I can’t be bought.  While my policy will make it almost impossible to buy television ad time, I won’t have to worry about allegations that the Cinemafia is paying me to lower the price of going to a movie.

Is Anybody Blogging Any More?

I have noticed fewer people blogging over the last month.  I use a WordPress tool called “BlogSurfer” which shows the most recent entries of my favorite blogs.  The people who are blogging are submitting fewer entries.  Two bloggers I had followed have stopped blogging.  First was “Peasant Tim’s Great Depression News Service.”  It was the daily news as told by an unemployed farm peasant living in Michigan.

The most recent victim was the “Food Here Convenience Store“.  It was ran by Ram Venkatararam.  Ram gave updates on the ups and downs of running a convenience store.  I learned a lot from Ram.  I learned the fine art of aging dairy products and that rat droppings on lettuce was “protein enhancement”.

Could it be that Tim and Ram now have lives?  Nah…  I think there is a conspiracy.  There are other blogs that I read, but even they aren’t blogging as often.  Gryphyons Aerie is in a bind.  In order for him to keep his job, he has to do it without pay.  Escapism might have escaped from the blogging world.  Her entries are fewer and farther between.  Madame Librarian must have been told to “Shhhhh!” by the head librarian.  Hear librarians are mean.  Future Update seems to be stuck in 2029.  Canadian Fermentation is in hiatus until his computer thaws out in his igloo.

I blog because I believe in blogging and that blogging is currently the best medium to get a point across.  I think that blogs will be around for a while (barring pending legislation) and that bloggers will be around as long as there are people around to read blogs.
