Assessment and Execution
Below are the goals I had set in January for the campaign for 2010. I have raised the bar as high as I could without throwing out my shoulder.
- Averaging 500 unique hits per day on this website.
- 1,000,000 results when people search for “Ahmnodt Heare” on Google. (we are currently at 17,600)
- Enough write-in votes in upcoming primaries (Democratic and Republican).
- At least 1,000 blogs mentioning Ahmnodt Heare and the campaign.
- An “Ahmnodt Girl” video.
- At least five national television appearances (broadcast or cable).
- One scandal involving a multitude of women. (More people are talking about Tiger Woods now than ever before!)
So far I am not near accomplishing any of these goals. I couldn’t accomplish goal #7 even after hosting an “Orgies for Abstinence” event a few weeks ago. This is not to say that the campaign is not growing; it’s not growing as fast as I like. I take full responsibility for the parts that are my fault. Like not following my 2009 map strategy.
I have already made some plans. I will head up to Wyoming, Montana, and the Dakotas for a week following BlancaFest. I drive through Delaware several times a year traveling between here and Washington, DC. I can stop in Vermont and Rhode Island the next time I go up to Boston. I already have campaigned in Washington DC and will do so in the future. I fee confident I can win there as Washingtonians will want to elect one of them (I was born and raised in Washington DC).
This leaves me to Alaska. It’s not on the way to anything and population centers are hundreds of miles apart. And now that Sarah Palin is doing her thingie in the lower 48, it is harder to find an excuse to go to Alaska (besides going to Wasilla to see Russia.)
I have a lot to do between now and the Presidential election. There are only 923 days left until the Election to get everything done and get the exposure my campaign needs.
Obama Steals my Campaign Strategy
As I am writing this blog entry, President Obama is in Strasbourg, France in a “town hall” meeting. He is campaigning as leader of the free world. The media is treating this as “news” and as something that is unprecedented. This strategy is not new. It was part of my campaign strategy in 2008. I just came back from Europe last week. While I did not get to visit France this time, I did get to speak to French nationals throughout Europe.
Although President Obama is campaigning throughout Europe, he seems to have no plan for Europeans to vote for the leader of the free world. This is where I have one-upped him. I am the only candidate who believes that everybody in the free world should be allowed to elect the leader of the free world.
I will give the President a little bit of advice. When you are in a foreign country, listen to the people, don’t dictate your agenda.
My 2009 Campaign Strategy
My plan for 2009 is to target the four largest states, all of the three electoral vote states, and Rhode Island (Because it is a small state).
The four large states total 147 electoral votes. The three-electoral votes total 24 electoral votes. Rhode Island has 4 electoral votes. Winning these states will give me 175 electoral votes. This is 95 votes short of victory, but it is a start.
I will resume campaigning in England, Scotland, and Ireland in March. I have added Australia to the campaign trail and will campaign there in April.
Some of my critics complain that foreigners can not vote for President of the United States. I remind those critics that the President of the United States is also leader of the free world. I will make sure their voices are heard.
Obama the Campaigning Thief
President Obama reads my blog on a regular basis and has been reading my blog since I have been blogging. Since then he and other prominent politicians have been stealing various portions of my campaign strategy. While it is flattering that people like to copy me, everybody knows that the original is always better than a cheap imitation.
President Obama gave a speech at the Copenhagen Climate Summit. He sounded presidential giving a speech to other world leaders. He sounded like he wanted to be the “leader of the free world.” He must have gotten that idea from me. I even allowed people to vote for “Leader of the Free World“. You can still cast your vote at the poll.
It is time for the President to come up with his own ideas… then again, he came up with “Cash for Clunkers”.
