Ahmnodt Heare for President

Ahmnodt Heare For America… Ahmnodt Heare For You.

Words From a Supporter

Sometimes writing just doesn’t convey the expression that one is trying to get across.  When one can get one’s point across by writing, it is often more writing than one cares to read.  That is why God created YouTube.

The audio isn’t very well and some parts were bleeped because of concerns the supporter’s boss might find out.  The place was loud because the people just found out that the restaurant just replaced the fine coffee they usually served with Folger’s coffee.

I will be posting more event videos as well as a speech or two (providing I can find someone to hold the video camera while I am giving a speech.)

Timeline for Disaster

My apologies for anybody who tried to listen to my show last night.  It has been rescheduled for tonight at 8:00PM Eastern.  Please use this link for the show and not the link on the original blogpost about the show as this is a new link specifically for tonight.

Below is the timeline for the events that transpired last night which caused me to start last night’s show very late and end it very early.  A quick background to the events before the timeline:  I was working on a marketing campaign for a local bed-and-breakfast trailer park.  It wasn’t called that until I came up with the idea.  The trailer park only has five trailers (plus the owner’s trailer).  The trailers are rentals near the state park and have boat access to the lake.  I am also in the process of moving my office to my bedroom and converting the office to a bedroom for my daughter and her mother.

  • 6:00 PM – Rotated the bed and moved dressers in my bedroom to make room for desk.  No problems.
  • 6:15 PM – Call from a client who wanted to change meeting day from Thursday to Friday.  Also changed presentation day from the 26th to the 24th at 10:00 AM.  It’s workable.
  • 6:35 PM – Moved desk from office to bedroom.  I had no problem getting the desk in but I now have little room for maneuvering between the desk and the bed.
  • 6:50 PM – Moved laptop from office to bedroom – Now the fun starts!  I did not unplug the Bluetooth adapter or the MagicJack from the laptop.  I unplugged the power cord from the wall but not the computer.  I had no problem getting the laptop to the bedroom, but I had a huge problem with the power cord.  I went to grab the power cord to plug the computer in, but the cord somehow got tangled with the MagicJack. The MagicJack popped out of the USB port and fell to the ground.
  • 6:55 PM – Plugged the MagicJack to the computer and promptly got a “Broken Storage Error” message.  The MagicJack home page soon popped up. I was able to navigate to the “Technical Issues” page.
  • 7:10 PM – After trying everything in the FAQ, I went into “live chat” with a technician.
  • 7:15 PM – I get an e-mail from the trailer park owner.  He wants me to call him immediately.  The MagicJack was still being worked on so I tried to call him on my cell phone.  The cell phone was dead and had to be recharged.
  • 7:20 PM – I was about to send an e-mail to the client explaining why I couldn’t call when the technician said I had to close all windows.  I figured that the sooner the phone was fixed, the sooner I could call the client back so I closed the window.  The tech guy and I tried several things to get the Magic Jack to work, but the computer wouldn’t recognize the hard drive in the MagicJack.
  • 7:45 PM – I was transfered to a more experienced technician, one who is reserved for the most difficult problems.  We try a few more things, but nothing seemed to be working.
  • 8:00 PM – SHOWTIME! Only problems were I couldn’t call into my show or send a message that the show was going to be delayed.  (I still had to have all other windows not associated with the MagicJack closed.)
  • 8:10 PM – MagicJack is fixed.  I had to call the trailer park client.  He wanted to change his presentation from the 23rd to the 24th at 10:00AM.  I told him i was doing another presentation at that time.  After some maneuvering, we finally agreed to meet on Friday the 26th at 5:30AM at Newark Liberty Airport.  he has a 7:30 Flight and will be gone for two weeks and wants to get this finished before he leaves.
  • 8:25 PM – I finally got to setup and start the radio show.  I haphazardly sent notifications of the show.  After about 10 minutes into the show, I decided that I would be better off waiting until Wednesday night (tonight) to do the show.
  • 8:35 PM – Ended the show, scheduled the show for tonight, and sent out more timely notifications.

I would highly recommend MagicJack to anybody who wants to save money.  With proper care (Not wrapping a power cord around it and having it hit the ground), it works very well and the sound quality is pretty good.)  You can hear the quality tonight at 8:00PM Eastern.

I would like to wish my beautiful daughter Patricia a very happy 7th birthday today.  Daddy loves you!
