2014 NFL Season – Week 1
I haven’t done this since 2012, so this could get interesting. I watched football in 2013, but I didn’t have time to make predictions. If I was to predict with my heart, I would have been saddened from all the times I would have picked the Redskins to win. This has nothing to do with running for President of the United States except to show that I am more like you than any of the major candidates who will run in 2016.

Getting Back in the Groove
After months of delays and after running out of excuses, I have finally moved and in the process of hitting the campaign trail. Getting to my new house was a bit of an adventure that I never want to go through again.
My GPS is old and not terribly reliable in finding the shortest distance between two points. Wyoming is a beautiful state, but has no business on a route between New Jersey and Delaware. I also manage to be lead on some unpaved roads.
I managed to get here late last night. It wasn’t until after I unloaded everything this morning that I realized I had forgotten a few things. I remembered to bring food, but none of the pots, pans, or dishes. The on;y reason why I remembered the silverware was because I had placed them in my toiletries bag. New Jersey is where my pots, pans, toothpaste, toothbrush, and shampoo are. I remembered the conditioner, but I forgot why I remembered.
It’s nice to be able to walk around town wearing a Washington Redskins jersey without being heckled by a rival team’s fans whose team is currently 0-5.
I will be giving a speech tomorrow on the Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) and why nobody seems to be able to afford it. Coffee and pastries will be served (but you will have to pay for the coffee and pastries you consume because that is how the diner operates.)

If you have been relying on my picks to make yourself some easy money, you are even dumber than I am. This goes for those who bet everything I pick or everything against what I pick. Even I don’t bet on my picks.
Tomorrow will be a great Thanksgiving. I will be at my parents’ home (my childhood home) in Washington DC and watch the Washington Redskins beat the Dallas Cowboys with my father. Speaking of Thanksgiving, I think there should be Cranberry Pop-Tarts available for Thanksgiving. I think they would sell well.
Happy Thanksgiving from what remains of the Ahmnodt Heare for President campaign team!

Too little – too late. I realized I picked a bad weekend to go to Virginia because the Redskins had a bye and I couldn’t watch them on TV regardless of where I was,
One non-football related note: You can tell I did not win the election because suddenly people want to secede from the Union.(And Puerto wants to join.)
Another non-football note: Former CIA Director David Petraeus should be applauded for showing how a sex scandal is supposed to work. This is compelling me to look for a woman to marry so I can cheat on her with a hottie. The media will get a hold of the story and give the campaign the publicity it deserves needs.
Now on to football and the winning picks:

Meaner than Mitt Romney
I was honored to be invited to a Q&A session at a community center in New Haven, CT. For some reason when I received the invitation, I had confused “Q&A” with “T&A”. This explained why I was so enthusiastic in replying to the invitation. That was the first sign that this event was going to turn into a disaster.
The first question asked to me was who I thought won the debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney. I responded with “I won.” then explained that I wasn’t really paying attention to what they were saying as much as I was replying to the questions Jim Lehrer was asking.
I was asked my position on energy. Some of the people appreciated that my ideas covered a wide spectrum of ideas while critics thought it was all over the place with no clear direction. I agree with the former.
Someone thought if I would close PBS. I told the questioner that I would not close PBS but I would no longer fund it. I don’t understand why PBS needs government funding if they have so many fund drives on their networks or why they have so many fund drives if they need government funding. Then there are the millions given to PBS by various foundations. The questioner replied that I was meaner than Mitt Romney. I was ridiculed by someone who claimed to be a science teacher for my position on global warming. She claimed that my position was both simplistic and reckless.
I have another Q&A to attend tomorrow afternoon in Danbury, CT. I’m a little disappointed that it was scheduled at the same time the Redskins were playing, but it’s one of the things I am going to have to do if I want to be President of the United States.

I’m getting back in the swing of things. I think it’s because the regular officials are back. Yay! Not only that, but my fantasy football team had the best week of any team in my league. All is right in the world (except for the Redskins losing last week.) Here’s to momentum!

The hot last two weeks was not quite enough to bring me ro the ,500 mark. There’s always next year. But this year is the playoffs and a new chance to show my smarts (or lack thereof). For the playoffs I will give insight as to how each game is going to go. This is a chance to see how a real life presidential candidate thinks.
Date & Time Favorite Spread Underdog
1/5 4:30 ET At Houston -4.5 Cincinnati
The Texans are reeling, having lost three out of the last four games. The Bengals look impressive against the Browns and Chiefs, but not as impressive against playoff-caliber teams. Houston survives this game only to get slapped around next week. Take the Texans and give the points.
1/5 8:00 ET At Green Bay -7.5 Minnesota
The temperature in Minnesota will be around 20 degrees Fahrenheit at kickoff. This would be good news if Minnesota played outdoors and was at home. It will be about the same temperature in Green Bay, where they do play outdoors. The Packers should win, but Adrian Petersen should keep it close. Take the Vikings and the points.
1/6 1:00 ET At Baltimore -7 Indianapolis
Once upon a time, the city of Baltimore would love nothing more than to see the Colts win a playoff game. The city will be bumming after the Colts win in Baltimore this Sunday. Mainly because the Colts are Indianapolis’s team while Baltimore has the original Browns team (now called the Ravens). Take the Colts (Indianapolis) and the points.
1/6 4:30 ET Seattle -3 At Washington
Seattle fans see “Seattle at Washington” and wish this game was being played in the state of Washington and not the District of Columbia. Unfortunately, this is the end of the road for my Washington Redskins. 😦 The Seahawks will run and throw all over the ‘Skins and win easily. Take the Seahawks and give the points.
