Not Quite What I Meant

When I first mentioned my “Bathroom Blitz” campaign, I had no idea what kind of effect it would have.  Would people post signs?  Would they stay up or would they be thrown out?  Would anybody mention they saw a sign in a bathroom?  Why is Martin Bashir on my television?

I was driving to Greensboro, NC to attend a funeral of a dear close friend.  There was a diner off of I-81 in Culpeper, VA.  I stopped there to grab a bite to eat and that I really, really, really had to go to the bathroom.  There was an empty bathroom stall and I went about my business.  What I saw on the wall was both pleasing and disappointing.

While writing on the wall leaves a more permanent impression than leaving a sign, it is also considered by some as "vandalism." I do not support vandalism, but if you must write on the wall, please make sure the URL is legible.

I am guessing that the URL is supposed to read http://tinyurl.com/ahmnodt which would bring people who type that to this blog.  While I may know what it means, the average person may not.  The object is not to convince me to vote for me.  (I’m pretty sure I will), but to convince the person who has no idea who I am to at least take a look and check out the website.

I didn’t have a marker to make the writing more legible, so I left it as it was.  I’ll bring a marker when I swing by on the way back and make it easier to read.  Funny thing was I wasn’t really thinking about campaigning while I was mourning, but after seeing this, I am thinking that campaigning is a 24 hour-a-day operation.  I will learn how to campaign while I snore when I return on Thursday.

Brain Fart

I have been stumped on what to write.  I want to post an entry every day, but I want the blog to remain fresh.  When I was writing every day, it had been a rehash of something I had previously written.  When I was writing fresh material, it was in infrequent intervals.

The intervals have been more infrequent recently and I apologize for that.  Just as I think of something to write about my brain farts a silent-but-deadly and all thinking stops.  I will make it up to you next Friday.  Let me know what you think a presidential candidate should be discussing (but currently isn’t) and I will talk about it on my show on next Friday’s show at 11:00PM.

Don’t forget the show this Friday night when I will be shooting the breeze with my running mate Albee Thayer.  Feel free to call in tomorrow night at 11:00PM Eastern.

Enjoying Today

I am totally relaxed today.  I’m not fighting the Cinemafia, saving crying hyenas, or trying to get laws that protect stupid people repealed today.  It’s just a day of sun and fun.

There was a valuable lesson that I learned today.  If you are going to go skinny-dipping, make sure every part is protected with sunscreen.  It’s something I hadn’t thought about before because I only went skinny-dipping once, and it was at night when I was young.  There’s also the matter that skinny-dipping is prohibited at the public pool.  I won’t be doing that again any time soon.

The most strenuous thing I have done all day is writing this blog entry. If only every day was like this.  There is more I would write, but I will stop writing soon.  The day is still young and there is a lot of things not to do today.  It is time for me to not do it.

Inspiration from my Running Mate

If you are into poetry, you will love reading the poetry of my running mate, Pamela Villars.  For those of you who weren’t around in 2008, finding a running mate proved to be difficult.  I ended up having to run for President AND Vice-President.  Below were some of the problems I had with running mate candidates in 2008:

  • Under the age of 35
  • Not a U.S. citizen
  • Felonies
  • deceased
  • Celine Dion fans

I am pleased to say that Pamela Villars is none of the first four above.  I don’t know if she is a Celine Dion fan or not, but at this point, I almost don’t care.  It is easier to find a snowball in the Bahamas than a Vice-Presidential candidate.

Pamela’s writings are inspirational.  Her writings have inspired me to write some haiku.

If you are looking for inspiration, check out her website and read her poetry.  You can be assured that her writings are better than mine.  Here is a picture of her showing what she won for coming in second in an Australian Wordle contest:

Please Read The Link I am About to Post

This is an article written on TheSpoof.com and it is one of the better works of writing by the author known simply as “Maditude.”  The article was written over 24 hours ago, but has yet to be cycled in the articles recently written.

Although “Maditude” has not commented on the issue, some of his friends have suggested that TheSpoof might be boycotting his article because of his strong ties with the Vanna White supremacy movement.

Please take the time to read Maditude’s article.  While you are reading it, feel free to give him five stars.  It will make his day.
